Self-Talk

“Gosh! I look sooo terrible in this dress!!”
“Ugh! I’m so fat!!”
“I hate my hair…actually I hate my nose and lips too…”
“My skin is so bad. I’v even got ugly wrinkles all over!”
“My tummy always embarrasses me!”
“I can never look good in any pic!”
“I look so old!”
“I wish I had Jennifer Aniston’s body!”

Does this sound familiar??

Now imagine saying these to a friend/partner :
“Gosh! You look sooo terrible in this dress!!”
“Ugh! You’re so fat!!”
“I hate your hair…actually I hate your nose and lips too…”
“Your skin is so bad. You’ve even got ugly wrinkles all over!”
“Your tummy always embarrasses me!”
“You can never look good in any pic!”
“You look so old!”
“I wish you had Jennifer Aniston’s body!”

If you talked to your friends the way you talk to your body, you’d have no friends left at all.
